Razor Clams have been a hot topic with Brady’s Customers lately. Since the last digs have been canceled due to Domoic acid, we have been selling our frozen stock like crazy! People have to have their clams, however they can get them. So if you are on that list, we currently have frozen 1 pound bags of already cleaned Razor Clams.
Unless you got them already cleaned from us, Your first step is to clean them (click here to learn how) Then its time for cooking.
The most common way to cook them is bread em’ and fry em’….Make sure you do it in hot oil for about a minute on each side OR your are getting Clam Jerky.
Other folks like to bread em’ and bake em’.
We have an employee that likes to bread em’ and broil em’. Kim’s TIP- use finely ground Ritz crackers, when you have bigger chunks they tend to get soggy and only broil for 3 minutes on each side or you are having some tough clams.
